SHOW YOUR PRIDE! For yourself or your beloveds! The initial Trans Pride Transitions cowl was inspired by the Trans Pride flag. After multiple requests, I adapted the pattern for other awesome Pride flags. I like the TRANSITIONS theme for all because hopefully we are ALL gaining a better understanding of the fluidity and expansiveness of both gender identity and sexual orientation. AND may we be TRANSITIONING to a new way of non-binary, non-normative thinking/assuming for ALL!

The initial pattern (and kit) was for worsted weight but I adapted to dk because we found a really soft and affordable alpaca yarn that came in 50 gram balls that we thought would be great for the kits we wanted to offer.

Kits include yarn and free printed pattern (including chart and written out instructions) to knit the specified Pride set of colorways. Patterns are also available for free on Ravelry if you don't want a kit and/or want to preview the pattern before buying the kit.

  • Transitions Pride Cowl bundle (where all the pattern links can be found on Ravelry)
  • Coming soon: PanSexual (pattern available on Ravelry already) and Gender Fluid Pride Cowls!

Worsted weight Trans Pride kit is made up of Manos del Uruguay Maxima which is a super soft single ply merino wool; hand dyed; hand wash

All other kits are dk weight and made up of Alpaca Yarn Co. Classic Alpaca which is 100% alpaca. DK kits come in a sweet little organza bag.

Putting together a Supportive Pride Package? Find Pride flags and buttons to give (or receive) with your cowl kit. We have other celebratory buttons in our brick & mortar store that are not available online. See also ChannyPeas pins here.

Please email me here if you have any questions or encounter any problems or have further Pride Flag requests!

Kits include:

  • All the yarn needed to make the cowl
  • pattern instructions (including stitch by stitch instructions for grafting in pattern) as well as a chart for those who don't want to follow the written out instructions.

Not included: US 6 needle (straight or 24" circular)

Techniques involved: provisional cast on, cabling, colorwork, and grafting in pattern (or you can 3 needle bind off).

Whether you purchase the kit or get the pattern off Ravelry or not, please consider contributing to one of these awesome organizations. Or even just explore these links to learn more and amplify voices, resources, and a nonbinary way of being in the world.
