This Earth Ball was created for our 2019-2020 Holiday window display at our store in Asheville, NC. The pattern is intended to fit a 22” (55cm) yoga ball.
Pattern for the Earth Kit is available separately on Ravelry for $10 here.
Included in the Kit: Hand-dyed (in Asheville) worsted weight domestically sourced wool.
- 1,100 yards of blue
- 220 yards of medium green
- 110 yards of dark green
- 110 yards of yellow/brown
- 110 yards of yellow/green
- 110 yards of white
- 110 yards of gray or gray/green
Charts in the pattern are followed using intarsia technique when changing color (when it makes more sense to strand a color, you can do that, too).
All pentagon triangles decrease at the end of every row after row 2 (k2tog on odd rows, p2tog on even rows). Equilateral triangles decrease irregularly: read the charts. See pattern for further details and recommendations.
It is recommended to sew triangles together as you complete them, according to the diagrams given. Put each hemisphere together separately.
